For emergency situations, Glen Quick Release Hooks can be equipped with a remote release control system, allowing operators to safely activate hook release from locations such as the jetty control room. The system includes release hardware installed on the QRH and a control interface located remotely, with optional hydraulic, electrical or solenoid actuation.

ATEX-certified components are available for Zone 1 / 2 hazardous areas. The remote release panel enables simple and secure operation, providing real-time mooring load data, hook status monitoring and alarm notifications in case of system faults.
