When a terminal project reaches the final acceptance stage, every detail matters.
On a recently completed jetty project delivered by CCCC, the installed Quick Release Hook (QRH) system from another manufacturer was unable to release properly, preventing the mooring system from meeting the acceptance requirements.
The unresolved issue delayed project close-out and required an immediate technical solution. GLEN was invited to provide onsite technical support and repair services. Leveraging our extensive experience in mooring systems, our engineers carried out a comprehensive inspection, repaired the mechanical and electrical components, restored the remote release function, and completed onsite commissioning and verification.
The repaired QRH system successfully passed the final acceptance tests, allowing the outstanding technical issue to be closed and enabling the project to move forward as planned.
This project demonstrates that GLEN's after-sales engineering capabilities are not limited to equipment supplied by ourselves. GLEN supports customers in diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and restoring mooring systems from multiple manufacturers—helping terminals maintain safe operations and minimize project delays.
